About us

Parklands aims to be a relaxing destination for a holiday, short break or just a weekend away. Families, Couples, Old or Young, all are equally welcome.

We do not have pages of do's and don'ts, all we ask is that you treat the facilities and other visitors with respect and leave the site as you found it.

The site consists of two level landscaped caravan and camping fields and gardens, at just over five acres, with only 58 pitches, there is room to relax and play.

Also planned are installations of additional waste water disposal points, so in the future it won’t mean a haul of your waste water to the current single disposal point.

Facilities already available are :

  • Heated Swimming Pool (May to September Weather Permitting)
  • Children's Play Area
  • Crazy Golf
  • Bar
  • Heated shower block, with plenty of hot water.
  • Toilet's and washing cubicles.
  • Automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • Washing up facilities for camping.

These facilities are designed for disabled use.

Just outside the shower and toilet facilities is the heated swimming pool. The heated pool is maintained every day before it is opened. We do not have a lifeguard so children or weak swimmers must be supervised.

There is a small shop area, which stocks a good range of food, from breakfast cereals to, fresh milk and bread available daily, as well as ice creams for those warmer days, plus chilled wine and various soft and alcoholic drinks, also camping essentials and Calor gas.

Our take away sells a range hot food and snacks. Pre ordered food can be delivered to your pitch at no additional cost. Now also open for Breakfast (Weekends and Bank Holidays only)

Parklands has its own licensed bar, this is open weekend lunch times during the peak holiday periods as well as Friday and Saturday evenings, also Sunday evenings on Bank holidays, it is open depending on demand, so if you feel thirsty for a fresh pint then ask, they might not open for one person, so get a small group together.

If you wish a little gentle sport there is  in the Bar area a Pool Table, Table Tennis and Darts Board, locally there is river and lake fishing and Golf.

Those of you with dogs, bring them along, there is a wooded dog walk the only limit is that no more than two dogs per unit and they must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area, childrens play area or in the bar.

If you enjoy cycling bring your bike as Parklands is close to one of the national cycle routes, plus its all hill free cycling. You are welcome to join No Visible Hills CC on their Saturday morning club runs (http://novisiblehills.weebly.com//

There is a range of childrens play equipment. The play area is located just away from the pitches and so children using the play area must be supervised.

We aim to recycle 30% of our waste and have facilities on site to recycle Glass, Aluminum Cans, Plastic Bottles, Cardboard and Paper. Please help us to minimise our environmental impact by separating these from you waste and placing them in the correct bins.

Parklands is located on the A1101 between Wisbech and the A17 roundabout at Long Sutton, in the village of Four Gotes, there are quite a few places worth a visit in the area,

Just 4 miles away is the the market town of Wisbech. Spalding and Kings Lynn are not much further away,

This is an area renowned for its fresh produce, and if you enjoy gardening there are some good local bargains to be had, as most of your local garden centres will get their plants from this part of the country

Hunstanton is worth a visit, the only place in the east of the UK that gets a sunset over the sea, and where you can get great fish and chips.

Along the coast you will find Wells Next the Sea, Blakeney and Cromer which is well known for fresh crab.

Sandringham is not far away and there are often events taking place there.

For the energetic there are some good local walks, its only a few miles to the coastal walks around the Wash, and of course there are some very good local pubs for that drink and meal.

The cities of Norwich and Cambridge are nice for a day out, and the Norfolk Broads are well worth a visit. The site is open mid March to the end of October.

So give Parklands a try, you will be pleased you did.

Parklands Reviews

Our Club held a rally in August 09. Site was very good indeed. Pitch layout was as good as some of the best sites on the Continent. Will visit again
